"Αποφασίζουμε: Nα χαρακτηρισθεί ως αρχαίο μνημείο το Kάστρο Σπηλαίου Γρεβενών.
Tο τείχος ανάγεται στους Bυζαντινούς χρόνους, αλλά τα αρχαιολογικά δεδομένα οδηγούν ως την Eλληνιστική και Pωμαϊκή εποχή.
Aνασκαφικά ευρήματα στο χωριό δηλώνουν ότι η περιοχή κατοικήθηκε από την πρώϊμη εποχή του Σιδήρου".

Το Δημοτικό Σχολείο του χωριού στο οποίο πολλοί από εμάς κάναμε τα πρώτα μας βήματα γνωρίζοντας τον κόσμο είναι κτίσμα του 1930 και έχει μια σπάνια ομορφιά αλλά και ιστορία.

Σύμφωνα με προφορική παράδοση η χρηματοδότηση της ανεγέρσεώς του έγινε από την γυναίκα του γραμματέα του Αλή Πασά.
